What is the difference between authorised capital and paid-up capital?
Authorised (registered) capital is the maximum amount of shares a company is permitted to issue under its constitution, while paid-up capital is the portion actually issued and paid for by shareholders. Singapore companies can also use a 'no authorised capital' regime under the 2014 Companies Act amendments.
