Can I use a friend's address as my company's registered address?

Technically ACRA requires a registered office where documents can be received, but using a friend's address without a proper arrangement is risky — mail and legal notices will go there. Most businesses instead use a registered address service (S$100–S$300/year) which handles mail properly.
